On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, the CIS has asked about this question in the February barometer. The survey reveals that 93.3% of Spaniards believe that gender violence is "a worrying problem" for society , while only 4.1% say that it is not a problem. To the question: Do you think that the demonstrations held on March 8 are serving a lot, quite a bit, little or not at all to strengthen the demands for women's freedoms and equality rights? 49% believe "that they are serving "a lot or quite a lot." (Sum of those who believe that "they are serving enough", 33.8%, and those who think that "they are serving a lot", 15.2%). On the contrary, only 12.5% believe that they are of no use.
