This section of the website presents the main instruments of transparency, planning, and accountability of the Spanish Centre for Sociological Research (CIS).

Strategic Planning, in accordance with Article 92 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, includes both the Organism’s Action Plan, of a triennial nature and approved by the Ministry of affiliation, and the Annual Action Plans that develop it each year.

The Annual Reports are the documents through which the Organism accounts for the degree of compliance with the previous year’s Action Plan, which are submitted to the Spanish Parliament in accordance with Article 4 of Law 39/1995, of December 19, on the Organization of the CIS.

The Ethical Code sets out the general guidelines of conduct for the Organism and its staff, ensuring good practices in public management, scientific activity, and institutional functioning.

In compliance with the Law on Transparency, Access to Public Information, and Good Governance, access is also provided to the following sections:

  • Service Charter, through which the CIS informs citizens about its assigned services, their rights, and the quality commitments undertaken.

  • Contractor Profile, which provides access to all the information the CIS is obliged to publish on the Public Sector Procurement Platform.

  • Annual Accounts, containing the information published by the General State Comptroller’s Office in the Register of Public Sector Annual Accounts.
