81.8% of Spaniards prefer to buy "their own home" According to the June CIS barometer, 45% of renters do not have enough income to buy a house. 47.7% believe that the price of rent is rising in the area in which they live. Madrid, July 3, 2019 . The Sociological Research Center's barometer for the month of June reveals that 81.8% of Spaniards would prefer to buy "their own home" compared to 12.9% who choose to rent.
