ARCES
In the field of statistics applied to the social sciences, as in other disciplines, we encounter a multitude of information that is not always available in the appropriate format for the researchers or citizens who need it. The lack of systematization, harmonization, centralization, and metadata detailing the data often makes it very difficult to locate the information we need.
ARCES (ARChivo de Estudios Sociales) is a survey data archive for social research, based at the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), which was created with the aim of overcoming the aforementioned obstacles to facilitate access to data and microdata from studies related to the Social Sciences.
In this way, by systematically and harmonizing the information related to these studies, it will be possible to preserve and disseminate it in a manner appropriate for its location and analysis by researchers in these disciplines and the general public, significantly facilitating public access to statistical information.
