Data Warehouse

Data obtained or generated during research are valuable resources that can later be reused for scientific or academic purposes. The ability to access shared data often facilitates research beyond what was originally planned, fosters scientific inquiry, avoids duplication of data collection, and provides resources for training new scientists.

ARCES collects research data for the purpose of preserving and disseminating it, ensuring that it is useful in research and teaching and meets the requirements established by regulations.

We preserve and disseminate data generated in social research.

  • The Deposit Plan must be submitted using the Data Deposit Plan form.
  • To provide research data, please contact ARCES at the Center for Sociological Research at arces@cis.es

Deposit Plan

The Center for Sociological Research is developing a Social Sciences-Specific Database (ARCES) that aims to become an institutional repository for preserving and disseminating research data produced within projects and projects funded by public administration budgets.

To submit the Initial Deposit Plan for the CIS Social Studies Specific Data Bank, you must complete the Form according to the attached Instructions.

To download the Form click on this link .

The completed and signed form will be sent to the CIS through one of these three methods:

  • Preferably using the CIS website at the Ministry of the Presidency. You'll find access instructions on the CIS website.

  • By email to BancoDeDatos@cis.es attaching two documents:
    • the completed Form in Word (for easier processing),
    • and the same completed Form but signed and digitized, if possible, in PDF format.

  • If you have any questions, you can call the CIS Database Department from Monday to Friday during business hours (9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) at 915807617 and 915807622, or send an email to bancodedatos@cis.es
