The National Prize for Sociology and Political Science is the main award granted in this field, also taking the form of a National Prize. It has been awarded for more than 20 years and enjoys great prestige among the academic and professional community, representing recognition of a scientific career developed in the field of Sociology and Political Science. Since 2018, its call has once again been annual.

It is regulated by Order PJC/620/2024, of June 19, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting by the Centre for Sociological Research of the National Prize for Sociology and Political Science.

Nominations
All institutions, chairs, organizations, departments or foundations, whether public or private, particularly related to Sociology or Political Science, as well as the members of the appointed Jury, may submit nominations for the Prize.

Through the Electronic Office of the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with Parliament.
Recipients
The Prize will be awarded in recognition of contributions and scientific work in the field of Sociology or Political Science, demonstrated through the professional career of the candidates or as recognition of a single outstanding work.
Award amount
30,000.00 euros.
