El curso de verano 'El Estudio de la Opinión Pública en las sociedades democráticas que organiza el CIS y la UCM está destinado a que el alumnado aprenda a analizar la opinión pública en las sociedades democráticas, reflexionar sobre la información como servicio público y profundizar en el estudio científico de las audiencias de los medios de comunicación social.

El seminario sobre "Estructura y cambio social en la España actual" tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis de las principales dimensiones, ejes y variables que conforman la estructura social de España y su evolución, desde una perspectiva comparada internacional orientada.

La presentación ha ido a cargo del presidente del CIS, José Félix Tezanos, que ha estado acompañado de la vicepresidenta y ministra de Hacienda, María Jesús Montero, el Catedrático emérito de Economía de la Universidad de Oxford, Valpy Fitgerald y la directora de Publicaciones del CIS, Rosario H. Sánchez.

El CIS organiza las jornadas sobre ‘Desigualdades y exclusión social’ con reconocidos expertos en el campo de la Sociología y la Economía. Su presidente, José Félix Tezanos, será el encargado de presentar el evento. Entre los principales ponentes estarán el Catedrático emérito de Economía, Valpy Fitzgerald, el Catedrático emérito, Carlos Berzosa o la Catedrática emérita de Sociología, Marina Subirats, entre otros. Sobre la mesa estarán temas como las desigualdades por género y edad, las desigualdades sociales y económicas o las tendencias en desigualdad en un mundo en transformación.

Con motivo del día Internacional de la Mujer, el CIS ha organizado las Jornadas de Sociología del Género por tercer año consecutivo. Este año las ponencias centrarán el debate en ‘Mujeres y sociedad: la mujer joven y nuevas realidades’ y asistirán mujeres de renombre como la ministra de Igualdad, Ana Redondo; la socióloga y política, Soledad Murillo de la Vega o la Catedrática y Premio Nacional de Sociología, Constanza Tobío, entre otras.

Carlota Solé and Rafael Pardo receive the National Sociology Award as a reward for the contribution and scientific work of the winners in the field of Sociology or Political Science, demonstrated through their professional career or in recognition of a singular work .

El CIS organiza un coloquio sobre 'Las mujeres en la Sociología' en la Feria del Libro. El acto contará con la participación del Presidente del CIS y Catedrático emérito en Sociología, José Félix Tezanos, la directora de Publicaciones y Catedrática de Sociología, Mª Rosario Sánchez Morales, la Catedrática y Premio Nacional de Sociología, Inés Alberdi, y la Catedrática y Premio Nacional de Sociología, Constanza Tobío Soler. El coloquio se celebrará en el Parque de El Retiro, en el pabellón Caixabank, el lunes 5 de junio a las 18:00 horas.
