Descripción
R is a statistical package of significant and growing importance for the implementation of statistical techniques in various applied scientific disciplines. Its free nature, the multitude of resources available for the program, and its high analytical and graphical quality have gradually made it a kind of lingua franca for statistical analysis. This volume aims to introduce the reader to its use in a clear and thorough manner, without presupposing any prior knowledge of the program. The work is oriented toward the processing of survey data in social research and covers a series of techniques for handling this type of data: descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, graphical analysis, and even an introduction to linear regression and logistic regression with R. All of this is implemented with real data from opinion surveys, mainly from studies conducted by the CIS (National Institute of Statistics and Censuses). The digital documentation associated with the book includes all the code used in the text, as well as the solutions to all the proposed exercises. It is available at www.cis.es/publicaciones/CM/
