The majority of Spaniards believe that much progress has been made in equality between men and women, although great inequalities persist. According to the survey on sexual violence against women carried out by the CIS, 59.6% of citizens believe that women who suffer sexual assault rarely report it. The CIS has carried out a survey on sexual violence against women, during the month of January, where the majority of Spaniards (67.8%) believe that inequalities between men and women are less now than ten years ago. Behaviors occur on the Internet and social networks that must be punished by law. The majority of Spaniards consider it unacceptable and should always be punished by law, among others: blackmailing a person by spreading photographs or videos of a sexual nature, for 97.5%; sharing photographs or videos of a sexual nature through social networks without the consent of the people who appear in the photo or video, for 96%; pressuring a person to send naked photos of themselves, for 92.7%. Discrimination in Spain Renting a home is one of the situations in which discrimination can occur most in Spain, according to 80.4% of those surveyed. The CCI for December stands at 68 points, 7.5 points more than in November The CCI has increased by 12.5 points since July, when it stood at 55.5 points The current situation index grows 6.3 points compared to the month of November and the assessment of future expectations improves 8.8 points in the last month Madrid, January 12, 2023 . Consumer confidence stands at 68 points in December, 7.5 points more than in November according to the monthly index of the Center for Sociological Research. The ICC figure has improved since July when it stood at 55.5 points, since then it has risen 12.5 points. This increase in the index is due to the increase in its two components: the assessment of the current situation grows 6.3 points compared to the month of November and the assessment of future expectations improves 8.8 points in the last month. The valuation index of the current situation reached 56.1 points in December. This rise in the index is due to the positive evolution of the valuations of its three components: the valuation of the current economic situation, which grows by 7.4 points, placing it at 41.3 points, the assessment of the situation of households that increases 6.7 points, reaching 61.5 points, and the assessment of the labor market that increases 4.8 points, reaching 65.5 points.
