The collection of this library began in 1963 with the creation of the IOP (Institute of Public Opinion), the seed of the current CIS, since then its main function has been the formation, custody and dissemination of the bibliographic fund of the CIS and to support the work researcher and teacher developed by the Agency. For this purpose, it has a complete bibliographic collection, both monographs and periodical publications, specialized mainly in topics of sociology and political science.
