General Directorate of Coordination and Research

The General Directorate of Coordination and Research will be responsible for the following functions:

  • The planning, coordination, and monitoring of the center's research program and activities, in collaboration with the organization's other units, with special attention to the principles of action in applied empirical research regulated in Article 5 of this Royal Decree.
  • Carry out research projects that the center must carry out, either independently or in collaboration with other entities.
  • Direct the execution of field work.
  • Direct the data process leading to the computer exploitation of research.
  • Ensure that the Center for Sociological Research adapts its actions to the provisions regarding transparency, access to public information, and good governance in relation to current European and/or national regulations on the reuse of public sector information and data governance.
  • Prepare reports on the corresponding studies conducted by the center, either independently or in collaboration with other entities, as well as the reports and action plans corresponding to its General Management.
  • Coordination and support for the organization's IT activities in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technologies.
  • Perform all those functions that have been expressly entrusted to him by the person holding the Presidency of the center.
