Salustiano del Campo Urbano
(July 1963 - January 1971)
He was the main driving force behind the IOP, serving as CEO upon its creation in July 1963, serving de facto as the Institute's Director. He formally held the position from October 1967 to January 1971. He is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Madrid (UCM). He is a member of the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. He was awarded the 2003 National Prize for Political Science and Sociology from the CIS (Spanish National University of Madrid).
