The CCI for January rises and reaches 73 points, 5 points more than in December
- The ICC continues to rise with a cumulative rise of 17.5 points since July, when it reached 55.5 points.
- The current situation index stands at 60.2 points in January, with an increase of 4.1 points in relation to that obtained in December.
- The assessment of future expectations improves 5.8 points in the last month.
Madrid, February 6, 2023 Consumer confidence stands at 73 points in the month of January, 5 points more than in December according to the monthly index of the Center for Sociological Research. The ICC figure has been rising since July when it stood at 55.5 points, since then it has risen 17.5 points.
This increase in the index is due to the increase in its two components: the assessment of the current situation grows 4.1 points compared to the month of December and the assessment of future expectations improves 5.8 points in the last month.
The valuation index of the current situation reached 60.2 points in January. This rise in the index is due to the positive evolution of the valuations of its three components: the valuation of the current economic situation grows 5 points compared to the month of December, standing at 46.3 points, that of the situation of households rises 2.5 points, reaching 64 points and the assessment of the labor market increases 4.7 points, reaching 70.2 points.
The Expectations Index reaches 85.8 points this January, with an increase of 5.8 points compared to the month of December.
The CIS ICC data are based on a representative sample of the Spanish population of 2,855 interviews carried out between January 13 and 20.
