- Regarding the organization of the vaccination campaign, Spaniards are very satisfied and rate it with an average of 8.56 out of 10
Madrid, April 7, 2022 . The Sociological Research Center has carried out the first wave of the 2022 health barometer in which citizens are surveyed about the functioning of the health system in our country
It should be noted that 91.6% of people admitted to a hospital in the last year indicate that the care they have received has been "very good or good." And they rate "the care and attention of the nursing staff" with an average of 8.91; with 8.76 "the care and attention provided by the medical staff" and with 8.23 "the information received about the evolution of their health problem."
Regarding public health services, the emergency system "Emergencies 061 and 112" is one of the best rated with an average of 7.54; followed by "Admissions and assistance in public hospitals" with 7.29 and "Emergencies in public hospitals" with 6.48.
Primary care consultations during the last year
79.3% of Spaniards who have had a consultation with their family doctor in public healthcare during the last 12 months say that "the doctor gave them the opportunity to ask questions or raise concerns."
Also, "the confidence and security transmitted by nursing professionals" is positively valued with an average of 7.95 as the best aspect of primary care consultations, followed by "the confidence and security transmitted by doctors" with a 7. .74.
Furthermore, 80.4% of citizens who have consulted their family doctor in the last 12 months assure that "the care they have received has been good or very good."
People who in the last twelve months have had a consultation with their family doctor have been asked about providing care via video consultation, with 53.1% stating that they would use it compared to 32.7%. I would not do it.
Vaccination against COVID-19
94% of the population claims to have received "some dose of the vaccine against COVID-19", overall showing themselves very satisfied with the general organization of the vaccination campaign, with a score of 8.56 on average out of 10.
Waiting lists
Regarding the waiting lists in the last year, a good part of Spaniards believe that it is not improving (42.4%), compared to 33.5% who assure that they remain the same and 11.3% say that it has improved .
The 2022 health barometer covers the time period from March to October 2022. The sample has been divided into 3 different subsamples, which correspond to the three waves of the barometer. Each wave of 2,600 interviews has a high national representativeness and its results reflect the opinions of Spaniards during the period of the interviews.
