The gap between the PP and PSOE is shortened to one point.

The CIS has conducted its monthly barometer, covering the usual questions such as vote estimates, issues affecting Spaniards, international conflicts, and the European Union, among others.
Vote estimate and preference of the president of the government
The Popular Party is expected to win 33.5% of the vote this month, followed by the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) with 32.5%. VOX is in third place with 10.1%, and SUMAR (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) would obtain 8.2% of the vote. Podemos would reach 3.1%.
Pedro Sánchez is the preferred candidate for Prime Minister by 25.3% of Spaniards, 8.7% behind Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who is the favorite by 16.6%. Yolanda Díaz is the favorite by 6.5%, Santiago Abascal by 6.4%, and Isabel Díaz Ayuso by 5.6%.
Among those surveyed, the gaps widen: 38.9% of those surveyed who gave their opinion prefer Pedro Sánchez as Prime Minister, 13.4 points ahead of Feijóo, whom 25.5% prefer, with Yolanda Diaz in third place with 10%.
Regarding the leader rating, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is the highest rated with a 4.22, followed by Alberto Núñez Feijóo with a 4.14, Yolanda Díaz with a 4.07, and Santiago Abascal with a 2.81.
Regarding government ministers, Defense Minister Margarita Robles is the highest-rated with a 5.06, Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo is second-highest with a 4.73, and in third place is Minister of Social Rights, Consumption, and Agenda 2023 Pablo Bustinduy with a 4.66.
The European Union and international conflicts
81.2% of the population agrees that decisions made in Europe have a "great or considerable" influence on the lives of Spaniards. 13.2% believe they have little or no influence, and 2.9% have no influence at all.
Furthermore, 25.7% believe that the PSOE is the party that best defends Spain's interests in the European Union, followed by the Popular Party (17.8%). Another 5.6% believe that VOX is the party that best defends the country's interests.
Regarding the war in Gaza, 67% of respondents say they are "very or quite a lot" concerned, 15.4% say they are "a little or not at all," and 16.2% say they are "somewhat" concerned. Regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 69.4% say they are "very or quite a lot" concerned, 15.9% say they are "a little or not at all," and 13.7% say they are "somewhat" concerned. Climate change is "quite a lot or a lot" of concern to 73.9%.
Economic situation and main problems
The number of people who say their personal financial situation is "very good or good" is increasing, reaching 63.4%, compared to 24.8% who say it is "bad or very bad" and 11.1% who say it is average.
The problems that most affect Spaniards personally at this time are the economic crisis and those of an economic nature (36.7%), healthcare, which has risen almost 3 points compared to last month (18.4%), problems related to the quality of employment (16.6%) and unemployment (13.2%).
These and other data are collected in the monthly barometer conducted from April 1 to 4 with 4,032 interviews.
