The CIS organizes the III Conference on Sociology of Gender for International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the CIS has organized the Sociology of Gender Conference for the third consecutive year. This year the presentations will focus the debate on 'Women and society: young women and new realities' and will be attended by renowned women such as the president of the Council of State, Carmen Calvo; the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo; the sociologist and politician, Soledad Murillo de la Vega or the Professor and National Sociology Award winner, Constanza Tobío, among others.
Wednesday March 6
The first day of the conference will present an analysis of the extensive study carried out by the CIS: 'Perceptions of equality between men and women and gender stereotypes'.
One of the works of one of the founders of Sociology, Charlotte Perkins, will also be presented: 'A world made by men or our androcentric culture'. And we will have a round table on 'Professions and Stereotypes'.
Thursday March 7
The debate will focus on the 'Reality of young women in Spain' , in which several sociologists who are experts in feminism will participate and the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, will be in charge of closing the conference.
At the end of the event, a Spanish wine will be served.
