José Jiménez Blanco
  • Born in Seville in 1930.
  • Granada University law graduate.
  • Postgraduate studies in sociology at Michigan University in 1959.
  • In 1962, professor of sociology in the Faculty of Political, Economic and Business Sciences in Bilbao.
  • In 1964 he transferred to Malaga, in 1967 to Valencia and in 1969 to Madrid Autonomous University, always in economic science faculties, until 1979, when he settled at the Universidad Complutense, this time in the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology. He retired in 2000 and is currently professor emeritus at the same university.
  • He received an honorary doctorate from Granada University.
  • Awarded the Alfonso X 'the Wise' Grand Cross.
  • Director of the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias de la Educación (INCIE).
