For its obligatory presentation to the Spanish Parliament, in accordance with article 4 of Law 39/1995, dated 19 December, on the Organisation of the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (BOE no. 303, dated 20-12-1995) and expanded in article 4.3 of Royal Decree 1214/1997, dated 18 July (BOE no. 174, dated 22-07-1997) the Annual Report, is drafted by the Centre's General Secretary, corresponding to the previous fiscal year.

As of 2009 the Reports shall only be published online with the aim of increasing their dissemination and reducing publication costs, both financial and environmental.
