The ARCES catalogue is comprised of a number of other catalogues:
- CIS Data Bank: stores the micro-data files from CIS
Surveys along with those of other institutions (Ministerio de Trabajo, INJUVE, Centro de Estudios de la Realidad Social
(CIRES), etc.).
- ICPSR: you may have free online access to all code
books and study documents stored by this centre. Micro-data files may be requested through the CIS. Among many
others, the ICPSR keeps world surveys on values and euro-barometers.
- ISSP: this Programme is a joint project
of a number of countries with the objective of obtaining data for a wide range of geographic areas, enabling
international comparisons. The files are stores in the ZA (Cologne Central Archive), a member of CESSDA, and
therefore the CIS acts as intermediary for their retrieval.
- CESSDA: gathers a series of social research data archives
from different European countries. Micro-data file requests of any member may be handled through the CIS.
- Roper Centre: Located in the University of
Connecticut, this centre offers a wealth of public opinion data archives. They also have a specific database for
Latin America. The CIS also handles file requests for this Centre.
