Among the functions attributed to the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas expressly in
Law 39/1995, dated 15th December, and
Royal Decree 1214/1997, dated 18th July, on the Organisation of the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas , regarding activities that promote research, is the promotion of sociological research through awards that stimulate and develop research and work in the area of Political Sciences and Sociology.
This award recognises a scientific career and the work carried out in the field of Sociology and Political Science.

Candidates for the Award may be put forward by the designated members of the Jury constituted for that
purpose, as well as public institutions closely linked to Sociology or Political Science. |

Recipients |
Awarded in recognition of the scientific contribution and effort of the awardees in the field of Sociology or
Political Science, as indicated by their professional career or in recognition of a specific work. |

Award amount |
The amount of the award is € 25,000. |

Submission period |
It will finalise on 30 September of the corresponding year, except for proposals put forward by members of the Jury, which may be made
directly during the meeting held to award the prize. |
