The CD-ROM entitled MEDIO AMBIENTE was designed to offer the social research community an easy-to-use application to handle data from the 1993 ISSP study, in which 20 countries took part, allowing to make a comparative analysis of their situations.

The participating countries were: Germany, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, United States, Philippines, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, United Kingdom, and Russia.

This CD-ROM contains:

• SPSS data files for each country, ready to be processed by any statistics package, as well as PDF files with the original questionnaires.
   
• A special module about the environment carried out in Germany, Ireland, Great Britain and Holland.
   
• A JDS application that allows one to obtain the following, using Windows OS:
  • literal questionnaire questions
  • frequency distribution, bivariable and statistical analyses
  • graphs
